Grant funded Listed Building Renovation, Wales

Dyfi Architecture helped to secure funding with the Historic Houses Foundation and ran the renovation of this very significant Grade 2* Listed Gatehouse in Snowdonia National Park.

It has a spectacular four-sided turret roof section constructed with huge oak timbers. The heavy but fragile coping stones made the site work very challenging.

Working closely with the Snowdonia National Park Authority and Cadw the 400 year old building has been renovated to the highest standards. A temporary roof was constructed over the central turret to enable the work to be completed over one Winter to fit with the timing constraints of the bat licence.

Dyfi Architecture are proud to work with the finest craftspeople throughout Wales using local slates, lime plasters and other traditional construction techniques to deliver projects of this calibre.
